The next step was to remove the incline motor assembly from the treadmill by removing the upper and lower bolts. In this case it did do that on the console, but not mechanically, so that you could now go through the incline levels properly on the console but the incline assembly did not move.
Then after reinserting the safety key the incline should go all the way up and then down in calibration mode. In this case that was very little motion, so a little difficult. The first step was to calibrate the incline, which was performed by pulling the safety key while the incline was in motion. The incline on this treadmill would not operate all the way up and down, and when the up button was pushed the display would read 1.5, or something like that, then jump to 10.0 with no significant movement of the incline.
